Serving the Homeless

After serving the homeless for almost 3 years (since 2020), I have been able to better understand how this service impacts the homeless. Without the constant worry of when they’ll get their next meal, a hot shower or clean clothes, they can relax, feel safe and have fun. In Fremantle, the homeless can gather with people who are going through the same hardships that they are and socialise with them. They are friendly and cheerful once you get to know them. I have enjoyed volunteering to serve them as I’m giving back to the community and I like to think I’ve accomplished something in helping them.
